You can decide which apps are allowed to use the camera on your Mac. See Control access to your camera. Turn the camera on: On your Mac, open an app or turn on a feature that can use the camera. A green light beside the camera glows to indicate that the camera is on. MacBooks, iMacs, and the iMac Pro all have internal cameras. However, you might need to buy an external webcam for some Mac models, like the Mac mini or Mac Pro. It’s also possible to use superior external cameras as webcams if you want to boost the video quality. If you’re using a USB webcam, make sure it’s plugged in. Searching for 'camera' (without quotation marks) on my 10.7.3 Mac returns Mac's Help article entitled 'Use your Mac’s built-in camera.' This is the web version of the same help. Other apps, like QuickTime Player (the Lion QT 10.x version), and iMovie (part of iLife that came with your Mac) can also use your iMac's camera.
How you choose which camera to use depends on the application being used to control the camera. Flash connects the camera not already in use Mac Pro Quad Core (Early 2009) 2.93Ghz Mac OS X (10.6.5); MacBook Pro (13 inch, Mid 2009) 2.26GHz (10.6.5).
First, click the apple icon on top left corner > Select System Preferences.. from the menu. Then click Security & Privacy.
Click Privacy tab.

Click Camera in the lefthand column, then tick the box next to Google Chrome.
*If you don't see Camera or Google Chrome option, please update your MacOS to the latest version (Click Apple Icon > About This Mac > Software Update..) and update your Chrome browser to the latest version (at the top right of Chrome, click three vertical dots > Update Google Chrome). If updating doesn't work, pleasecontact us right away.
A small window will pop up, click Quit Now. By doing so you are allowing Google Chrome to access your camera.
Lastly, click Microphone in the lefthand column, then tick the box next toGoogle Chrome.
*If you don't see Microphone or Google Chrome option, please update your MacOS to the latest version (Click Apple Icon > About This Mac > Software Update..) and update your Chrome browser to the latest version (at the top right of Chrome, click three vertical dots > Update Google Chrome). If updating doesn't work, pleasecontact us right away.
A small window will pop up, click Quit Now. By doing so you are allowing Google Chrome to access your microphone.
Now log into PitchVantage and see if you can start recording. If you still see the error message, pleasecontact us right away as other factors could block access (anti-virus, broken headset, no camera, Mac OS issue, etc). We will find out for you.
